Position Overview: As a Junior Inventor, you will be responsible for applying creativity, problem-solving skills, and scientific knowledge to develop innovative solutions and inventions. This role encourages curiosity, experimentation, and critical thinking, fostering a passion for science and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Idea Generation:
    • Brainstorm and generate creative ideas for inventions, considering real-world problems or challenges.
    • Research existing solutions and identify opportunities for improvement or innovation.
  2. Conceptualization:
    • Develop conceptual designs and sketches for potential inventions, detailing the functionality and purpose of each idea.
    • Consider the feasibility and practicality of the proposed concepts.
  3. Prototyping:
    • Utilize available materials and resources to create prototypes of selected inventions.
    • Test and iterate on prototypes to refine and enhance the functionality of the inventions.
  4. Documentation:
    • Maintain a detailed inventor’s notebook, documenting the entire invention process, including initial concepts, sketches, prototyping stages, and test results.
    • Write brief reports or summaries explaining the purpose and potential impact of each invention.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with peers, teachers, and mentors to share ideas, receive feedback, and improve upon inventions.
    • Participate in group projects to combine skills and knowledge for more complex inventions.
  6. Presentations:
    • Prepare and deliver presentations showcasing inventions to classmates, teachers, and potentially a wider audience.
    • Clearly communicate the problem-solving aspects and innovative features of each invention.
  7. Continuous Learning:
    • Stay informed about scientific advancements, technological breakthroughs, and innovations in relevant fields.
    • Explore new areas of interest and incorporate newfound knowledge into the invention process.


  • Enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
  • Completed a series of pre-employment workshops
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of scientific principles and the scientific method.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
