Overview: The Program Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the effective implementation of educational programs and activities for eighth-grade students. This position is responsible for collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to ensure a positive and enriching learning environment. The Program Assistant will contribute to the overall success and well-being of eighth-grade students, fostering their academic and personal development.


  1. Classroom Support:
    • Assist teachers in preparing and organizing instructional materials.
    • Provide support during classroom activities, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience for students.
    • Supervise students during class transitions and activities.
  2. Student Engagement:
    • Facilitate and participate in extracurricular activities, clubs, and events designed to enhance students’ interests and skills.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, promoting a sense of community and collaboration.
  3. Administrative Duties:
    • Help with record-keeping and administrative tasks related to student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
    • Assist in coordinating field trips, special projects, and other educational events.
  4. Communication:
    • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and teachers to address concerns and share relevant information.
    • Collaborate with the school community to promote a supportive and positive learning environment.
  5. Individual Student Support:
    • Provide individualized assistance to students who may require additional academic or emotional support.
    • Collaborate with teachers and counselors to identify and address the unique needs of each student.
  6. Technology Integration:
    • Support the integration of technology into the classroom, assisting students with digital tools and resources.
  7. Professional Development:
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with educational trends and best practices.


  • Completed a series of pre-employment workshops.
  • Experience working with middle school students in an educational or youth-focused setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting the educational and personal development of eighth-grade students.
  • Basic knowledge of educational technology and willingness to learn new tools.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
